Activision has finally revealed the cinematic trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season One. The video features a few hints on what appears to be a new multiplayer map, a new Warzone map, and a new Operator.
The trailer video shows a place called Rebirth Island, a location that is familiar for players who have tried Blackout on the Alcatraz map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The new operator on the map is Vikhor “Stitch” Kuzmin, an ex-KGB leader. He talks about the Rebirth Island and explains the vengeance he wants to enact on Russel Adler. Russel is a character featured in the Cold War campaign and is also shown in the trailer torturing Stitch.
The trailer also revealed that the character Stitch is the person behind the new manufacturing of Nova 6. This is a deadly gas that was used throughout Black Ops lore. It is likely that this gas is also going to be used in the new Warzone map.
A new multiplayer map set in a 1980s New Jersey mall is also seen in the trailer. The Rebirth Island and the game’s Season One will begin on December 16.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold war Season One will drop on December 16 for console and gaming pc. The Season One Update will include an integration of Cold War content. According to Treyarch, the game’s Season One will be the largest free content drop. The game will include new multiplayer maps, new modes, and playlists. It will also have a new Zombies mode, season challenges, and a seasonal prestige system.
The Season One update will also bring back the fan-favorite 6v6 game modes and playlist. It will also feature the 2v2 Gunfight with four new maps. One of these maps looks like The Raid, which is set in a sprawling mansion within Hollywood’s hills. And lastly, it will also have a new Fireteam map for players to explore.
