Ghost Games has unveiled the latest installment in their popular racing game series, Need for Speed. The new game is titled, Need for Speed Heat and is scheduled to be released on November 8.
The studio has revealed the game’s official trailer, featuring a distinct Miami vibe and a hint of 80s nostalgia. The video also shows various supercars racing through rain-soaked streets, reflecting the hues of the streetlights.
The trailer also introduces us to a rebellious group of racers led by a woman, who speaks of an authority that limits them as racers. According to the woman, the authority imposes restrictions on the racers to make them blend in, and keep them safe. But they won’t be held back by them, because they own the limits and the night. The dialogue lead many fans to think that the police chases are back, bringing more thrill to the game. But this isn’t confirmed yet.
Need for Speed Heat will have a narrative focus, with the Palm City racers living two lives. One life will allow you to make a name for yourself in officially-sanctioned races during the day and get to customize and upgrade your cars, but then risk everything in underground races at night.
Need for Speed Heat is confirmed to be launched on Microsoft Windows gaming PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 consoles.
