Fans finally got a sneak peek of Square Enix Marvel’s Avengers and its gameplay last month at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Crystal Dynamics, the team behind the game, showed the extended gameplay footage from the upcoming Avengers game. Along with that, the team also showed fans the customization menu in the game. This feature will allow players to fully customize their chosen superhero according to their liking.

Shaun Escayg, Crystal Dynamic’s Director, also explained that the customization menu will feature all the classic outfits, as well as the fan-favorite and all-new ones. There will be outfits or suits that are taken straight out of the comics and others that are new. The team even teased fans with some of these, which includes Thor in a full Viking armor, Captain America in a gray gear, and Hulk dressed in a mafia-style suit.

Aside from outfits, players will also be able to customize how their heroes play by unlocking new skills, and choosing which gear suits their playstyle. This means that two players can choose Captain America, but their play style will totally be different from one another.

Escayg also clarified that Marvel’s Avengers will be a story-driven game, which will feature certain missions designed for specific heroes. This means that when players choose an Avenger hero, there will be a few missions that will lock them in specific roles.

Marvel’s Avengers is set to be released on May 15, 2020, for Microsoft Windows gaming PC, Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One gaming consoles.
