League of Legends Releases SSG 2017 World Championship Skins

The new 8.14 PBE cycle has rolled out, bringing in the six new Samsung Galaxy team skins which celebrate them as champions during last year’s World Championship.

The Samsung Galaxy World Championship Skins will feature each of the team’s players chosen champion. These include Ezreal, Gnar, Jarvan IV, Taliyah, Rakan, and Xayah.

As described by the product lead Stellari, each of the upcoming skins honors a player from the 2017 SSG roster namely CuVee, Ambition, Crown, Ruler, CoreJJ, and Haru.

The SSG Championship Skins will be 1350 RP each and will include the following:

  • New models and textures

The champions’ new skins and models were designed to feature elements from the Korean folklore and mythology. Each of them carries out the cold hues of the SSG team as they roll out onto the Summoners Rift.

  • New VFX

The new visual effects of these skins are blues, purples, whites, and the SSG logo.

  • New SFX

All skins feature new sound effects for all spells, delivering a whimsical fantasy magic effect.

  • New recall animations

The all-new recall animations of the champions are designed by the players themselves, which are brought to life in-game including the majestic duo recall of Rakan and Xayah.

As with all the other World Championship Skins, the SSG skins will also be categorized into Legacy.

Another thing that was noted by Stellari is that SSG Taliyah will only be available for a limited time. Players will be able to buy SSG Taliyah as of this moment and later this year during the Worlds 2018.

The SSG World Championship Skins are now available to play on PBE. To check them out, make sure to update the League of Legends program on your gaming computers.
