Rakan and Xayah is the lovely duo of League of Legends. The two were released as the first official champion duo of the game; they are said to be lovers, working hand and hand to fulfill their quests. Rakan is the charmer, designed with a fantastic support skill kit. Xayah, the Rebel, takes the role of an ADC damage champion that uses her barbed feathers to take down the enemy. And together, they make a lovely team.

No wonder, Riot finally decided to give these two champions Sweetheart skins for the upcoming Valentine’s Day event. Let’s check them out:

Sweetheart Rakan

“Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Xayah, my love,

I’ll protect you.”

Sweetheart Rakan

The lovebird Sweetheart Rakan has flown to the fields of Summoner’s Rift to protect his other half, Sweetheart Xayah. The new skin features a new model and textures, giving a charming new look for the Charmer himself. His new VFX show all hues of pink, while his new SFX give off magical harp sound effects. The skin also has a new animation recall in a typical Rakan style, and duo recalls with his other half.

Sweetheart Xayah

“Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Don’t be mad at me

‘Cause you’re 0/2.”

Sweetheart Xayah

The other half of the famous duo, Sweetheart Xayah, brings her blade-like feathers to the Rift, ensuring a lovely kill. Pretty much similar to Sweetheart Rakan’s, the new skin brings a new Valentine’s Day look for the Rift Rebel. Her new VFX give her pink, purple, and glittery gold feathers, and a less aggressive taunt. Her new SFX feature the same melodic harp sound effects as Sweetheart Rakan. While her new recall shows her with some forest friends or performing a duo recall with her partner.
