A Look at Frozenbyte Nine Parchments

Frozenbyte, the creator of the Trine series, has released their new action fantasy co-op RPG game called “Nine Parchments” last December 5. Described as “a blast-them-up-game of magical mayhem,” the game introduces you to a colorful world of fantasy.

The game revolves around the world of wizards, wherein players control one of the powerful mages in the game to fight and defeat the strange creatures in the beautiful Trine world.

PLOT

Nine Parchments’ story revolves around a group of drop-out wizard apprentices that decided to skip their training to seize the opportunity to complete their spell books by going after the lost Nine Parchments.

As the wizards rapidly acquire powerful new spells without the proper safety measures, they soon learn that their hasty progress can lead to plenty of deadly accidents.

GAMEPLAY

According to Frozenbyte, the game combines real-time spell-shooting action with RPG elements, giving you the best of two worlds. You can level up your characters, discover and master dozens of spells, collect magical loots, and fill your wardrobe with a myriad of wizard hats and powerful staves.

As of now, Nine Parchments introduces you to eight playable heroes which begins with three distinct spells. Leveling up will then allow you to gain a total of nine from over 40 available abilities. When it comes to the enemies, the creatures you’ll find across the Trine world all come with elemental resistances and witnesses. Picking a diverse set of powers as they level up is essential for players. Otherwise, they won’t be able to survive different elemental monsters.
