Harrowing is one of the most popular annual event celebrated by League of Legends, releasing new game modes, new items, and new champion skins. These new champion skins often feature superstitious elements and monstrous costumes.
And as a part of our appreciation of this event, we decided to list down seven of the best Harrowing Skins we’ve seen through the years.
Little Devil Teemo
Little Devil Teemo is a part of the 2016 Harrowing Skins and was released with Bewitching Morgana and Bewitching Tristana. It features Teemo as a naughty little devil who was summoned by the two witches to cause chaos and destruction on the Summoner’s Rift. He has been given a devilish new model, some new horns, a large trident which launches fire bolts, and a little crown to signify his title as the king of hell.
Ravenborn LeBlanc is a skin inspired by the fictional character Maleficent from the fairytale Sleeping Beauty. It was released to celebrate the Harrowing in 2014. Ir features LeBlanc as a raven-themed witch that resembles the appearance of Maleficent. She was also given a magical staff that has been modified to fit a raven on top. The skin’s overall theme is based on the colors purple and blue.
Reaper Soraka is a legacy skin from 2014 and a part of the Harrowing event. It features Soraka as a deathly shadowy figure, all cloaked, and holding a Scythe as her staff. Her arms and wrists are wrapped in white bandages that go all the way up to her elbows. She also has a purple hood which includes a golden spike, and a long blue scarf that trails around her. This skin was said to be inspired by the fictional character from Marvel Universe known as the Mistress of Death.
Underworld Twisted Fate
Underworld Twisted Fate is a skin that was a part of Shadow Isles Skins of 2012. It was said to be inspired Jericho Cross from the Darkwatch video game series. It also features Twisted Fate in a mystical blue outfit with a new brown hat. His left hand is emitting a glowing blue light similar to Nero’s right arm from Devil May Cry. It has new particles that include glowing see-through cards that compliment the dark underworld theme. This skin also happens to share the same theme with Underworld Wukong which was released in 2014.
Bewitching Morgana is a part of the 2016 Harrowing Celebration. The skin gave Morgana an evil witch look based on bats. It features new particles to incorporate flying bats which appear every time she hits an enemy. Her skill, Tormented Soul, now displays a cursed ground with black bats flying out from its edges. Bewitching Morgana also has a cauldron which she uses to teleport back to base. Her new sound effects were included to give her an overall spooky makeover.
Slayer Jinx is a skin that was released to celebrate Harrowing 2015. It features Jinx as a zombie slayer, showing a new outfit and a new look for her minigun and rocket launcher. She also wears a kneepad to protect herself from any zombie bite. The skin also features new particles for her abilities including Super Mega Death Rocket and her Flame Chompers. Jinx shares the same Zombie Slayer theme with Slayer Pantheon and the same Zombie Universe with Zombie Brand and Nunu.
Kitty Cat Katarina
Kitty Cat Katarina is a part of the Harrowing 2010 Skin Collection, the first Harrowing event in League of Legends’ history. The skin features Noxus’ most lethal assassin dressed in an alluring kitty cat costume, complete with the cat ears and fluffy tail. Its prior splash art featured Katarina with brunette hair and brown eyes but was later changed to her wine-colored hair and blue eyes. Her tails even became fluffier too. She shares this theme along with Definitely not Blitzcrank, and Headmistress Fiora.
