In our previous article last week, we’ve discussed Riot’s teaser for Warwick’s Champion Update. They released a teaser video titled “Warwick: The Wrath of Zaun,” and updated his lore in the game, connecting him to LoL’s resident mad scientist Singed.
Transformed into an engineered beast, his body is now fused with an intricate system of chambers and pumps that fill his veins with chemical rage. Drawn to blood and driven mad by its scent, Warwick preys upon those criminals who live in the city of Zaun.
Passive: Eternal Thirst
Warwick retains his original passive with a few tweaks. His basic attacks still deal bonus magic damage. However, if Warwick is below half health, the bonus will heal him for the same amount.
Q: Jaws of the Beast
Once known as Hungering Strike, Jaws of the Beast now allows Warwick to lunge forward and bite his target, healing for some damage dealt.
W: Blood Hunt
From Hunter’s Call to Blood Hunt, this ability features both passive and active skills. In its passive state, enemies with half-health will leave a global blood trail. Once Warwick has spotted this enemy, he will gain an increase in movement speed when moving towards it.
If the skill is activated, the enemy nearest to Warwick will be Blood Hunted even if in full health.
E: Primal Howl
Another skill that hasn’t been changed, Primal Howl when activated will cause Warwick to take reduced damage for duration of time. At the end of its duration, if the player activated the skill again, it will cause enemies nearby to flee in fear.
R: Infinite Duress
Quite similar to its previous skill, Infinite Duress allows Warwick leaps in a direction and suppresses the first champion it collides with. It will deal damage and will also apply on-hit effects during its duration. The leap’s distance depends on Warwick’s movement speed. Any damage he receives will heal him. Warwick will be immune to any crowd control effects during its activation.
The update for Warwick’s skill set is now released. To check it out for yourself, download the latest update on Garena and install it on your gaming PC.
