A newly released game is now topping the best-selling list on Steam titled XCOM® 2, the sequel to the award-winning game, XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Just released on February 5, 2016, the game has already been praised by PC Gamer, Game Informer and IGN, giving it a rating of 9.3 to 9.5 in their reviews.
Developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games, XCOM® 2 is a turn-based tactical video game that casts its player as the commander of a resistance force that tries to oppose the extraterrestrial invaders of the planet. You will be charged on controlling the Avenger, the new mobile base for XCOM® 2. This also means that you will be task to give out commands to your squad members in their combat against the alien invaders. Its new open-ended gameplay also lets you decide where to guide your team and when to combat the enemy’s counter operations. The game also lets you recruit resistance fighters which are classified into 5 different soldier classes. Each soldier class has their own skill tree that lets you customized the specific soldier for your tactical plan. While battling the aliens, as the commander you are also tasked to configure and build rooms on the Avenger, and give order to your scientists and engineers to research, develop or create new weapons and armors to assist your soldiers in their battle.
The game also features a new tactical guerilla combat gameplay that offers a flexible tactical plan for players to maneuver. Your soldiers can use concealment and ambush enemy patrols. Plus, you can also loot enemies for their gears and artifacts which you can use for your soldiers’ weapons and armors. It also has community-focused tools and lets you engage in head-to-head multiplayer that allows you mix-and-match squads of humans and aliens. You can also have a head-to-head battle on randomly generated maps. They also has astounding graphics that you will surely love playing on your gaming PC.
