Square Enix Announces Seven Expansion Quests for Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Video game developer Square Enix has finally revealed the details about the upcoming DLCs for the Shadow of the Tomb Raider. According to their announcement, the game will be receiving a total of seven DLC episodes, each scheduled to arrive a month apart.

And its first downloadable content, “The Forge,” is already set to launch worldwide this coming November 13 for Microsoft Windows gaming PCs, PlayStation 4 and XBox One consoles. In this DLC debut, Lara is set to explore the lava-flooded Forge of the fallen gods to uncover the mystery of the Kuwaq Yaku. Along with her journey, she will also discover a friend’s ancient legacy and must overcome the danger that is thought to be long gone.

As explained by Square Enix, The Forge will deliver a brand-new challenge tomb to the game, which features solo and co-op gaming. Players who will complete this challenge tomb will also be rewarded with a new skill, weapon, and outfit: a Grenadier skill, an Umbrage 3-80 weapon, and a Brocken outfit. The Forge is also said to feature a Score Attack and Time Attack modes.

The Forge will mark the release of the following DLCs, all of which will be available through the Season Pass or can be bought as a standalone DLC. Each of these DLCs will provide players with fresh content, new challenge tombs and side missions, new weapons and outfits, and co-op gameplay.

Square Enix also confirmed that all of the DLCs will be set against the backdrop of the Mayan apocalypse, and will feature ruin-filled landscapes, wild forest jungles, and the hidden City of Paititi. The DLCs will offer new challenges to the players, and above all, new tombs and mysteries to discover.
