Paladins – An FPS MOBA set in a Fantasy World

If you’re a big fan of the popular FPS game, Overwatch, then Paladins is a new game you should try. Paladins is a free-to-play MOBA and FPS game set in a fantasy world of ancient technology. It features a unique collectible card system that can amplify and augment a character’s core set of abilities.

Champions

“Paladins” is set in a magical world filled with a diverse cast of champions. From sharpshooting humans, mystical elves to mech-riding goblins, these champions all have a set of unique abilities to survive and fight on the battlefield.

As of now, there are 17 champions available in the game: Barik Fernando, Makoa, Ruckus, Bomb King, Cassie, Drogoz, Kinessa, Vicktor, Gronk, Grover, Pip, Ying, Androxus, Buck, Evie, and Skye. These champions are categorized into four different types: Front Line, Damage, Support, and Flank. Each of them carries a unique weapon and has a set of 4 skills exclusive to them.

Card Mastery

To keep the game exciting, players must collect unique cards for each champion and build decks to customize their play style. Starters are given a basic deck of cards to begin it and eventually unlock additional cards as they play. Creating your personal decks will allow you to change the game style of a champion.

Gameplay

There are currently three game modes in Paladins: Capture and Siege, Payload, and Survival. Each of these games modes puts two teams with five champions to fight each other.

Like other MOBA games, you must pick a champion with skills that will synchronize with your teammate’s picks. The more customized your deck is, the more powerful your champion can be.

“Paladins” is available on Steam for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X gaming desktops and laptops. It will also be available for XBoxOne and PS4. You can sign up for the console beta here.
